Job summary

Orchard-Rehabilitation-and-Nursing-Cente seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide therapy per physician orders and document progress. The role involves communicating with residents, families, and staff while adhering to facility policies.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, planning care, and educating residents and families. A NYS OTA license and associate's degree are required; geriatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current unencumbered NYS license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Graduate of an accredited school with an associate's degree in occupational therapy.
• Geriatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides Occupational Therapy plan of treatments and modalities per physician orders.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Train/supervise and discipline subordinate staff as needed.
• Assist in planning, organizing and implementing department goals and policies.
• Document resident progress and complete daily notes per policy.
• Provide education to residents, staff, and families.
