Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and sets up for all cases; passes instruments to physicians.
• Maintains and autoclaves instruments; keeps supplies organized for cases.
• Cares for instruments and ensures asepsis throughout procedures.
• Attends department meetings and contributes to improvements as directed by supervisor.
• Takes instrument, sponge, and needle counts to the circulating nurse.
