Job summary

Northern Michigan Surgical Suites is seeking a full-time Certified Surgical Tech to ensure proper care and use of surgical instruments and to maintain a sterile field in the operating room.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a Scrub Technician Certification Program, and 1–2 years of OR experience, plus BLS certification. Responsibilities include assembling supplies, equipment checks, aseptic technique, room turnover, and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Scrub Technician Certification Program.
• 1–2 years of operating room experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures.
• Maintains and ensures sterile field throughout procedures.
• Inspects equipment for proper working condition and readiness.
• Adheres to aseptic technique and sterile packaging procedures.
• Maintains instrument cards and surgeons' preference cards.
• Documents patient-care records per facility policies.
