Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health is seeking a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) to assist with patient flow in the eye clinic. You will perform intake tests, document health and eye history, and support ophthalmologists and staff throughout exams and procedures.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, and current iJCAHPO COA certification with BLS upon hire. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered to the chosen candidate.

Qualifications

• Must hold iJCAHPO COA certification.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake and navigation in the ophthalmology clinic.
• Perform comprehensive intake examinations, including health/eye history, visual acuity, visual fields, and intraocular pressure testing.
• Prepare patients, rooms, supplies, and equipment for exams and procedures.
• Maintain ophthalmic supplies and equipment, and assist physicians with daily tasks.
