Job summary

Towncenter Opthalmology is seeking a Non-Certified Ophthalmic Assistant to support clinical ophthalmology tasks under supervision. The role emphasizes patient work-ups, equipment operation, and patient education in a busy clinic.

Requirements include COA and CPR certifications, with ophthalmology experience preferred. On-site, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with occasional variable hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Current COA certification and CPR certification.
• Ophthalmology experience preferred.
• Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Initiates patient work-ups in ophthalmology clinics.
• Performs A-scan ultrasound biometry.
• Performs keratometry and corneal topography.
• Assists with minor OR and laser procedures.
• Maintains equipment and clinic environment.
• Educates patients and ensures safety.
