Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare is looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant PRN to join Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. In this role, you will evaluate and treat patients, communicate with families and colleagues, and maintain documentation under a licensed occupational therapist’s guidance.

Applicants must have an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy, a Texas OTA license, and basic certification in Cardiac Life Support. A comprehensive rewards package is provided, including medical benefits, time-off programs, and education support.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• OTA licensed in the state of Texas is required.
• Must be able to work 2 shifts per 4 week rotation at a minimum.

Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist Assistant evaluates and treats patients, communicates with families, physicians, and other health care members and maintains documentation of services in the medical record under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. Assumes, under the direction of the occupational therapist, responsibility for patient care, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications
