Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to assist patients with therapy activities and exercises outlined in their treatment plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist. The OTA will monitor progress, document outcomes, and contribute to plans in diverse settings including post-acute, long-term care, and home health environments.

The role requires state OTA licensure, NBCOT certification where applicable, and compliance with supervision and licensing standards;

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
• Education level required per state licensure.
• NBCOT certification is preferred for some Sanford Health facilities.
• Conforms to supervision and licensing standards where services are provided.
• A valid driver's license may be required where applicable.
• BLS certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients/residents/clients with therapy activities and exercises per treatment plan.
• Provide, monitor and record therapy services and communicate outcomes to the occupational therapist.
• Follow accepted clinical practice guidelines and state licensure requirements.
• Work in post-acute, long-term care, or home health settings as needed.
