Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to assist patients with therapy activities and exercises under the supervision of an occupational therapist. You will monitor progress, document patient responses, and help implement treatment plans across post-acute, long-term care, and home health settings.

Candidate must be licensed as an OTA in the practicing state, maintain BLS certification within six months, and meet supervision/licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold current BLS certification within six months of employment.
• Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
• NBCOT certification preferred for Sanford Health facilities.
• Conforms to supervision and licensing standards of the state(s) where services are provided.
• If applicable, may require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients/residents/clients with therapy activities and exercises per the treatment plan.
• Monitor and record therapy services and patient responses; communicate with the occupational therapist.
• Select and modify therapeutic activities to meet goals and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
• Provide high-quality care across post-acute, long-term care, and home health settings when needed.
