Job summary

Apple Rehab West Haven is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. You will support the OT in delivering patient-focused care and help residents achieve maximum functional well-being in a supportive environment.

As a graduate of an AOTA-accredited OTA program and licensed in state, you will work under the Rehabilitation Director and OT, manage caseload, and participate in continuing education to maintain professional competence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA accredited OTA program and eligible for licensure in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assists the OT in providing occupational therapy treatments to residents as directed by the Plan of Care.
• Manages caseload with supervisor by scheduling treatment individually or in groups while maintaining efficiency expectations.
• Instructs resident, family, and caregivers in OT procedures to be continued upon discharge.
• Adheres to PPS guidelines, ensures all OT documentation/treatment conforms to documentation/billing policies and procedures.
• Working with OT, provides oversight and direction to techs and assists in the supervision and education of affiliating students.
• Ensures the physical surroundings and equipment are sanitary, orderly and free from hazards.
