Job summary

Apple Rehab Mystic is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team and help residents achieve and maintain maximum functional ability. The role reports to the Rehabilitation Director and OT, and emphasizes quality care, professionalism, and collaboration with staff.

New graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates must graduate from an AOTA-accredited OTA program and be eligible for licensure in their state.

Responsibilities

Complies with ethical, regulatory, procedural and professional standards and practice guidelines as defined by state of licensure.
Assists the OT in providing occupational therapy treatments to residents as determined by the Plan of Care as directed by the OT
Manages caseload with supervisor by scheduling treatment individually or in groups while maintaining efficiency expectations.
Instructs resident, family, and caregivers in OT procedures to be continued upon discharge.
Adheres to PPS guidelines, ensures all OT documentation/treatment conforms to documentation/billing policies and procedures.
Working with OT, provides oversight and direction techs and assists in the supervision and education of affiliating students.
Assists in the assurance that the physical surroundings and equipment are sanitary, orderly and free from conditions that may cause safety hazards.
