Job summary

MercyOne Elkader Medical Center is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This part-time role offers a day shift with 20 hours per week, under general supervision of an OTR.

You will screen, assess and provide OT treatment, assisting in the evaluation process and caring for patients across ages from infants to geriatrics. The position requires NBCOT certification, an accredited OTA associate degree, and Iowa licensure (or eligibility).

Qualifications

• Certification through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NCBOT).
• Associate degree as Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) by the State of Iowa to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Screen, assess, implement and provide occupational therapy treatment under supervision.
• Assist the OTR in the evaluation process and provide direct patient care to a wide age range.

We are looking to hire a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at MercyOne, you will be under general supervision of OTR, the COTA screens, assesses, implements and provides occupational therapy treatment for patients. The COTA assists the OTR in the evaluation process. Possesses the skills necessary to provide direct patient care specific to each age group in accordance with departmental policy. The age of the patients served range in age from infants to geriatrics.

Schedule:
