Job summary

Synchrony in Muncie, IN is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to provide therapeutic interventions under the direction of an Occupational Therapist in an interdisciplinary team. The role requires an OTA degree, state licensure, CPR, and 0-1 year of experience.

Responsibilities include executing treatment plans, assisting in ADL training, documenting progress, education for patients and families, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification
• Current valid CPR certification, preferred
• Experience: 0-1 years

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including ADL training.
• Help patients with exercises and adaptive techniques to improve function and independence.
• Document patient responses, progress, and report findings to the supervising OT.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and strategies to support progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Support OTs in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations.
