Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) PRN for Forest Hills Healthcare Center in Cincinnati, OH. Join an in-house therapy team focused on improving residents' independence and quality of life through hands-on care and collaborative treatment planning.

You will implement and monitor treatment plans, educate staff and families, and document progress under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Qualifications

• COTA education in an accredited two-year program.
• Hold a valid OH COTA license or in state licensure process.

Responsibilities

• Help residents improve quality of life by compensating for limitations and promoting independence.
• Implement treatment plans through direct care and collaboration with the Occupational Therapist and team.
• Document rehab activities per facility requirements under supervision.

Qualifications/Must Have’s

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) education, obtained in an accredited two-year associate degree program
• Hold a valid or pending State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License

Responsibilities

• Helps clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations, such as, helping injured workers improve their motor skills and re-enter the labor force, and teaching persons with learning disabilities to prepare meals or to use public transportation and increase their independence
• Implements treatment plan through direct treatment and collaboration with Occupational Therapist, education of treatment staff and other members of team involved in the treatment plan, as well as family consultation and training.
• Complies with the documentation requirements of the rehab department and facility under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
