CommuniCare Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for Lincoln Healthcare Center on a PRN basis to directly impact residents' quality of life. The role involves implementing treatment plans, collaborating with the OT, and educating staff and families to promote independence.

The qualified candidate will have a COTA from an accredited two-year program and a valid or pending state license.

Qualifications

• Must have a COTA education from an accredited two-year associate degree program.
• Must hold a valid or pending State COTA license.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients to improve daily living skills and independence.
• Implement treatment plans with OT and educate staff and families.
• Document rehab activities per department requirements.

Qualifications/Must Have’s:

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) education, obtained in an accredited two-year associate degree program
• Hold a valid or pending State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Helps clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations, such as, helping injured workers improve their motor skills and re-enter the labor force, and teaching persons with learning disabilities to prepare meals or to use public transportation and increase their independence
• Implements treatment plan through direct treatment and collaboration with Occupational Therapist, education of treatment staff and other members of team involved in the treatment plan, as well as family consultation and training.
• Complies with the documentation requirements of the rehab department and facility under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
