Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, has a PRN opening for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Caroleton Healthcare Center in Connersville, IN. You will join an in-house therapy team dedicated to helping residents achieve independence and improve quality of life.

The role supports the treatment plan, collaborates with the OT and care staff, and includes flexible opportunities across locations to serve diverse resident needs and care continuity.

Qualifications

• COTA education obtained in an accredited two-year associate degree program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License.

Responsibilities

• Help clients improve quality of life by enhancing motor skills and independence.
• Implement treatment plans through direct treatment and collaboration with the OT and care team.
• Comply with rehab department and facility documentation under OT supervision.

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) education, obtained in an accredited two-year associate degree program
• Hold a valid or pending State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License

Responsibilities

• Helps clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations, such as, helping injured workers improve their motor skills and re-enter the labor force, and teaching persons with learning disabilities to prepare meals or to use public transportation and increase their independence
• Implements treatment plan through direct treatment and collaboration with Occupational Therapist, education of treatment staff and other members of team involved in the treatment plan, as well as family consultation and training.
• Complies with the documentation requirements of the rehab department and facility under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
