Job summary

Juniper Gardens Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Gastonia, NC is seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for PRN coverage to support residents’ independence and quality of life. You will work under an OT, implement treatment plans, and assist with mobility and daily living activities.

The ideal candidate has a state license as a COTA, participates in interdisciplinary teams, and can lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state license/registration as a COTA.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient movement.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care and exercises based on treatment plans created by the OT.
• Assist residents with activities that support daily living and independence.
• Accurately document therapy sessions and track patient progress.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and family members to support care goals.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on at-home and restorative programs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement programs.
• Float to nearby facilities if needed based on patient needs.

Are you a compassionate and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant ready to make a meaningful impact? Juniper Gardens is seeking a PRN COTA to join our rehab team and support residents on their journey to independence and improved quality of life.

Position Summary

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll work closely under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to help implement care plans, guide residents through therapeutic activities, and promote recovery and mobility in a supportive long-term care setting.

Responsibilities
