Job summary

Cypress Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, part of the Alliance Health Group, seeks a compassionate and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehab team on a per diem basis. You will work closely with an Occupational Therapist to implement care plans and guide residents through therapeutic activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state license/registration as a COTA.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient movement.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care and exercises based on treatment plans created by the OT.
• Assist residents with activities that support daily living and independence.
• Accurately document therapy sessions and track patient progress.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and family members to support care goals.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on at-home and restorative programs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement programs.
• Float to nearby facilities if needed based on patient needs.
