Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Charleston is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a Per Diem/PRN role. The position supports complex patient rehabilitation under an OT, with treatment planning, documentation, and participation in ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required or as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Occupational Therapist and treat patients with complex needs.
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an OT.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and modify therapy as indicated in collaboration with an OT.
• Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
