Job summary

Regency Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the team on a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays. The role involves treating patients with complex needs under supervision, conducting therapy sessions, and documenting progress.

You will work under an Occupational Therapist, monitor patient responses, and participate in continuing education.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Certified BLS certification or completion within first 90 days of employment as required by state regulations.

• Conducting individual therapy regimens per patient plan.

Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to the Occupational Therapist, you will be treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses.
• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions as indicated in collaboration with an OT.
• Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in‑services.
