Hamilton Nursing and Rehab in Detroit, MI is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for part-time or PRN roles within our rehabilitation team. You will support residents’ independence by implementing individualized OT plans and providing hands-on therapy under a licensed OT.

Ideal candidates hold MI COTA license, graduate from an accredited OTA program, and maintain current BLS, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing individualized OT treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Provide hands‑on therapeutic interventions to improve residents' strength, coordination, mobility, and ability to perform daily activities
• Monitor resident progress and communicate changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies that promote continued progress and independence
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow all clinical, facility, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation and interdisciplinary teams to support positive resident outcomes
