Job summary

Care Resources is seeking a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at our Lowell, MI site. The role involves delivering OT treatment, completing progress notes, and supporting a care plan for participants aged 55 and older.

The ideal candidate has MI COTA certification, at least one year in rehabilitation, and experience with frail or elderly populations. A collaborative team environment and weekday schedule with no weekends are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified COTA in Michigan.
• At least 1 year of rehab experience.
• At least 1 year of frail/elderly population experience.
• Ability to multitask while staying organized and professional.
• Works well autonomously and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatment and reassessments per care plan.
• Prepare clinical documentation and progress notes.
• Conduct screenings to determine treatment needs and progress.
• Instruct families and staff on restorative therapy procedures.

What You’ll Do, includes but is not limited to:

• Provide occupational therapy treatment and reassessments with assigned participants in accordance with the care plan
• Prepare clinical documentation, progress notes, and other required documentation per policy
• Perform occupational therapy screenings to determine need for treatment and to assess participant progress
• Instruct families and staff on various restorative and therapy procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Requires certification as a COTA in the state of Michigan
• Prefer at least 1 year of relevant experience in a rehab setting
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with the frail or elderly population
• Ability to manage multiple tasks comfortably while staying organized and professional
• Work well autonomously as well as within a team setting
