Job summary

Colfax of Cascadia LLC in Washington state seeks a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for part-time opportunities. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver personalized treatment plans that empower patients to regain independence.

You will administer therapy, assist with exercises, monitor progress, educate patients and families, document outcomes, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current COTA license required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Ability to work under supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

  • Administer occupational therapy treatment programs tailored to each patient.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic activities and exercises to improve function.
  • Implement treatment plans with clinical judgment and reasoning.
  • Monitor progress, document outcomes, and communicate observations to the OT.
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and daily living skills.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that promotes dignity and well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance for assigned shifts.

As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver personalized treatment plans that empower patients to regain confidence, develop essential life skills, and achieve meaningful goals.

What You'll Do
  • Administer occupational therapy treatment programs with goals tailored to each patient's abilities, needs, and tolerance levels under the direction of a physician and Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic activities and exercises designed to improve function, mobility, and independence.
  • Implement treatment plans while demonstrating strong clinical judgment and sound reasoning.
  • Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate observations to the Occupational Therapist.
  • Educate patients and family members on home exercise programs, daily living skills, and the safe use of adaptive equipment.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that promotes dignity, confidence, and well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance for assigned shifts.

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.

Licenses/Certification:

Current COTA license required.

Current CPR certification required.

Experience:

Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
