All Care Therapies is currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in a home health setting! This is an exciting opportunity to join an evolving therapy team, now expanding to the Greater Las Vegas area. COTA Responsibilities:

  1. Treat pediatric patients by using therapeutic and self-care activities designed to improve function under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist (OTR).
  2. Monitor a pediatric patient's activities to ensure they are performing them correctly and to offer encouragement.
  3. Contribute to meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care plans for pediatric patients.
  4. Document patient’s weekly progress in appropriate records.
  5. Instruct patients, their families, and any other caregivers in skills and techniques of the pediatric patient's treatment program, under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
  6. Demonstrate exercises that can help patients better perform everyday tasks and relieve pain.
  7. Complete all clinical notes in a timely manner using the company’s EMR system.
  8. Verify client information by interviewing the client, reviewing, and recording medical history, confirming the purpose of treatment.
  9. Follow treatment plans developed in collaboration with the occupational therapist by teaching techniques, such as the proper method of moving from a bed into a wheelchair, and the best ways to stretch and limber muscles.
  10. Monitor activities to ensure they are performed correctly and provide encouragement, bringing treatment that is not having the intended effect to the attention of the therapist.
  11. Maintain pediatric patient occupational therapy records by recording client’s progress for use by the occupational therapist.
  12. Generate revenues by recording billing information of services rendered.
  13. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  14. Serve and protect the occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Current NV Occupational Therapy Assistant license required.
  2. Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  3. Current CPR certification.
  4. At least one year of experience as a pediatric occupational therapy assistant is preferred, not required.
  5. Willingness to participate in continued education courses.
  6. Compassionate and caring demeanor.
  7. Current State driver's license and auto insurance.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Possess good time management skills.
