Aberjona Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a 123-bed facility that provides short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing services, and long-term care, with a commitment to excellence and compassion. We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team.
Provide day-to-day treatment to residents, including training in self-care, functional transfers, functional ambulation, home living skills, perceptual and cognitive activities, and strengthening, balance, and coordination activities
Communicate with other disciplines and interact with staff as necessary to enhance interdisciplinary team rapport and improve patient care
Provide routine documentation and changes to treatments according to policy
Supervise rehab and restorative aids regarding patient treatments, ROM, restorative feeding groups, and positioning of patients
Meet department standards of completion of discharge charts, including FIMS, home treatment programs, and equipment recommendations following discharge
Current MA State License as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
Must be a graduate of an AOTA-approved Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
Must comply with state, federal, and AOTA standards of practice when planning and carrying out treatment programs and other functions of an Occupational Therapy Assistant
