Job summary

AdviniaCare Newton-Wellesley is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehab team near Newton Wellesley Hospital. You will support therapists, conduct assessments, design interventions, and help residents regain independence in daily activities.

Qualifications

• This role requires current COTA certification and graduation from an accredited OTA program.
• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary rehab team.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients with physical, emotional, and cognitive impairments.
• Conduct assessments to identify patient strengths and needs.
• Design interventions to improve activities of daily living and cognitive function.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers to support independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients with physical, emotional, and cognitive impairments
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patients' strengths, weaknesses, and needs
• Design and implement interventions to improve activities of daily living, cognitive function, and overall well-being
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records
• Educate and support patients, families, and caregivers to promote healthy habits and long-term independence
