Job summary

Nassau Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hempstead, NY is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary therapy team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through individualized treatment plans and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited OTA program.
• NBCOT certification.
• Current state licensure/certification as required.
• Nursing home or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience preferred.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Modify treatment plans in collaboration with the Occupational Therapist as needed.
• Educate patients and families on daily tasks and rehabilitation activities.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
