Carnegie Post Acute Skilled Nursing at Princeton is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will work under the guidance of an OT to help residents engage in meaningful activities and maintain independence.

The role emphasizes collaboration, hands-on patient care in a long-term care setting, and a path for professional growth through training programs and support. A current COTA license and graduation from an accredited program are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree from an accredited COTA program is required.
• Active COTA license in good standing.
• Experience in long-term-care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the therapy team under the guidance of an OT.
• Select therapy activities matching Residents' needs and abilities.
• Assist Residents in daily activities and routines.
• Monitor Residents' performance and provide encouragement.
• Teach Residents how to use equipment to aid daily function.
• Work with OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Supervise Residents to ensure activities are performed correctly.
• Document Residents' progress for OT review.
• Handle administrative and clerical tasks for the therapy team.

• COTA will assist Residents in carrying out daily activities.
• COTA will monitor Residents' performance in therapy activities, providing encouragement.
• COTA will teach Residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function.
• COTA will work in collaboration with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• COTA will supervise Residents' activities to ensure they are done properly.
• COTA will report the Resident's progress to the OT.
• COTA will handle administrative and clerical tasks for therapy team.
