Job summary

MB Healthcare in New Jersey seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for weekend coverage at the Jersey Shore Post Acute Rehabilitation and Nursing facility. You will collaborate with the therapy team to support residents' daily activities and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Current OTA license.
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the therapy team under the guidance of an OT.
• Select therapy activities to fit Residents' needs and capabilities.
• Assist Residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor Residents' performance in therapy activities and provide encouragement.
• Teach Residents how to use equipment to assist daily function.
• Collaborate with OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Supervise Residents' activities to ensure proper execution.
• Report Residents' progress to the OT.
• Handle administrative and clerical tasks for the therapy team.

COTA Duties Include:

• OTA will work as part of the therapy team and under the guidance of an OT
• OTA will select therapy activities to fit Residents' needs and capabilities.
• OTA will assist Residents in carrying out daily activities.
• OTA will monitor Residents' performance in therapy activities, providing encouragement.
• OTA will teach Residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function.
• OTA will work in collaboration with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• OTA will supervise Residents' activities to ensure they are done properly.
• OTA will report the Resident's progress to the OT.
• OTA will handle administrative and clerical tasks for therapy team.
