Job summary

Synchrony Rehab is seeking a Float Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide flexible coverage across 3 Senior Living Communities supporting therapy needs in Mt. Pleasant, NC and surrounding areas. The role offers travel between Mt.

Pleasant, Meadows of Rockwell, and Meadowview Terrace of Wadesboro with paid mileage. The ideal candidate is adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable supporting multiple communities.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification.
• Current CPR certification, preferred.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving their functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.
