Job summary

Synchrony Rehab seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist in Bowling Green, Ohio. You will provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment, carrying out treatment plans and educating patients and families on home exercises.

Must have OTA degree and current licensure or certification; CPR preferred. Experience ranges 0-1 year, with a focus on enhancing functional abilities and independence.

Qualifications

• OTA degree from an accredited program is required.
• Current valid OTA licensure or certification is required.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including exercises and ADL training.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation of patients’ responses to therapy and progress for the supervising OT.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and families on home exercises and strategies to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support OTs in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations and insights.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
