The Bridges on Parkview in Henderson, NC is seeking a licensed Part-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Dynamic Rehab team. The OTA will provide therapeutic interventions under supervision, support ADL training, and contribute to an interdisciplinary care approach. Schedule is Mon-Fri with no holidays or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including ADL training and therapeutic exercises.
• Assist patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve function and independence.
• Document patient responses, progress, and report findings to the supervising OT.
• Provide education to patients and families on home exercises and strategies for continued progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support OTs in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

Licenses and Certifications

Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification

Current valid CPR certification, preferred

Roles And Responsibilities

• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.


• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.


• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
