Job summary

Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation in Boone, NC is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our compassionate team. Under the supervision of an OT, you will deliver skilled therapy to residents to improve daily living activities and independence.

You will implement treatment plans, document progress, educate residents and families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality care in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current and valid COTA certification/licensure.
• CPR certification required (or must obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Assisting in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Providing occupational therapy interventions, including ADL training, adaptive equipment use, and functional mobility tasks.
• Documenting residents' treatments, progress, and responses to interventions in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Communicating with the supervising OT regarding residents' progress and modifications to treatment plans as needed.
• Educating residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, adaptive strategies, and home safety techniques to promote independence.
• Adhering to facility policies, professional standards of practice, and all state and federal regulations.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation in Boone, NC. As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide skilled therapy services that help residents improve their ability to perform daily living activities, maximize independence, and enhance quality of life.

• Assisting in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist

• Communicating regularly with the supervising OT regarding residents' progress and recommending modifications to treatment plans when appropriate
• Educating residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, adaptive strategies, and home safety techniques to promote continued independence
• Adhering to facility policies, professional standards of practice, and all state and federal regulations
