Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide pediatric OT services in home health and clinic settings. The role requires a Texas license as an OT Assistant and a minimum of six months of full-time clinical experience, with pediatrics and home health experience preferred.

You must be insured and carry a valid driver’s license. The position offers clinician mentoring, career support, and opportunities to advance within a therapist-owned practice

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in OT required.
• Texas licensure as an OT Assistant required.
• Minimum 6 months full-time clinical experience in OT.
• Pediatrics experience preferred or required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions per physician orders.
• Serves patients in their homes or daytime facility.
• Schedules supervising OT visits per Texas Board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan patient goals.
• Plans care to meet OT intervention goals.
• Maintains and updates knowledge via educational opportunities and publications.
• Seeks opportunities to improve and add value to the role.

Requirements

• Associates of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
• Current state of Texas licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
• 6 months full-time clinical experience
• Pediatrics experience
• Home Health experience preferred
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities include

• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising OT according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the occupational therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances occupational therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
