Job summary

Synchrony Rehab at Ontario Estates is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist in an interdisciplinary setting. You will administer therapeutic interventions, support ADL training, and help patients progress while maintaining accurate progress notes.

The role requires OTA licensure/certification with CPR preferred and offers opportunities to collaborate with a caring team and provide education to patients and families, promoting ongoing

Qualifications

• Must have a valid state OTA licensure or certification ( CPR preferred ).
• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0-1 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, report findings to supervising OTA.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and families on home exercises and adaptive techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations.
• Other duties as assigned.
