Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell is seeking a full-time COTA to assist in direct resident treatments under an OT plan of care. Duties include individual, supervised, and group sessions, with collaboration in program development and team decisions.

Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell is hiring a full-time COTA!

Up to $35 an hour with weekly pay.

As a COTA, you assist in the provision of collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist, and participate in clinical program development.

Education & Experience

• As a minimum, an associate degree in occupational therapy assistant from an accredited program.
• CEU’s per state licensure requirements.
• Must possess a Massachusetts OTA license.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Under a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment venues include individual, supervised, and group.
• Contributes to the team meeting and decision making process as defined by the program.
• Consults with and trains patients, residents and caregivers.
• Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor.
• Documents activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
• Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
• Participates in clinical program development and implementation.
