Hudson Valley Location:

Positions are available throughout Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties.

Achieve Beyond was founded in 1995 and is continuously growing to meet the needs of developmentally disabled children through ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy. We serve the entire metro New York area (including NYC boroughs), Hudson Valley, Long Island, Albany, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, and the Virginia/Maryland/DC area. We specialize in initial evaluations and ongoing services in home, community, and clinic settings. Job Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to children aged birth to 3 years in their natural environment
  • Work in diverse settings such as client homes, family day care homes, day care centers, and other community settings
  • Educate family members and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over
  • Follow Individualized Service Plans, plan ongoing treatment, and interpret goals and treatment plans for parents
  • Maintain confidentiality of children and families' information in accordance with HIPAA and federal/state regulations, submitting records within deadlines

Requirements:

Must have a passion for working with children, families, and therapists!

  • Current NYS license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • Self-motivated, team player, and patient/professional

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to cases, including driving, walking, or using public transportation
  • Climb and descend stairs
  • Lift 10 pounds regularly
  • Sit on the floor, kneel, or crawl for extended periods
