Kidz Therapy Zone in Carlisle, United States is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. You will provide critical support to children by delivering hands-on, play-based therapies that help them overcome challenges.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
  • Valid state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License for Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Support children's participation in meaningful activities through therapeutic interventions.
  • Deliver hands-on, play-based therapy in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • Collaborate with licensed Occupational Therapists on treatment plans.
  • Track client progress and contribute to care plans.

Schedule:

Full Time, expected 40 hours per week.

Monday – Friday 8a-5p or 9a-6p.

Your Impact

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) you will:

  • Help children overcome daily challenges by supporting their participation in meaningful activities through therapeutic interventions.
  • Deliver hands‑on, play‑based therapy in an outpatient clinic setting, following evidence‑based, sensory‑integrative, and developmental approaches.
  • Collaborate closely with licensed Occupational Therapists to develop, implement, and progress individualized treatment plans.
  • Track and assess client progress, contributing to updates in plans of care and discharge planning.
  • Educate families and caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies to support continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in alignment with clinical best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Work as part of a collaborative team of healthcare professionals to enhance each child’s functional abilities and overall well‑being.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant program with the minimum of an associate degree.
  • Possess a valid state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License as required by the State of Pennsylvania.
  • Current registration and licensure with NBCOT.
