Job summary

Horizon Post Acute and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a caring Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in Wichita, Kansas. The role focuses on delivering quality OT services in a skilled nursing environment, with opportunities to impact residents' quality of life.

Pay is based on experience, ranging from $35-40 per hour. You will work under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist, documenting progress and participating in care

• Treat patients according to the treatment plan of care developed by and under the supervision of the Licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Communicate patient progress, concerns, and plans to the Occupational Therapist.
• Participate in patient Plan of Care meetings when requested by Rehab Director.
• Record treatment notes and progress, contribute to discharge summaries and daily billing per policy.

The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop, and assist in facilitating our Occupational Therapy Services in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be always maintained.

Pay Based On experience, ranging from $35-40 per hour

COTA - Jobs and Responsibilities:

• Treat patients according to the treatment plan of care developed by and under the supervision of the Licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Communicate with the Occupational Therapist any pertinent information concerning patient progress, concerns, and plans.
• Be proficient in therapeutic needs to treat patients based on their presentation and instructions given by the Occupational Therapist
• Participate in patient Plan of care meetings if asked by the Director of Rehab.
• Record treatment notes, progress notes, provide objective input for discharge summaries and complete daily billing of services per policy and procedure
• Adherence to State Required practice acts, code of conduct, ethics during professional practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Adherence to Company requires policy, procedures and code of conduct
• Active State Licensure or certification needed
