Job summary

Horizon Post Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Wichita, KS is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in a skilled nursing environment. Under the supervision of the Licensed OT, the COTA will implement treatment plans, document progress, and contribute to discharge planning for both short- and long-term care.

We offer pay at $35–$40/hour, a supportive team culture, and ongoing opportunities for professional growth while helping seniors

Qualifications

• Must hold an active state licensure as a COTA.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients per plan of care under supervision of OT.
• Communicate patient progress and plans with OT.
• Implement therapeutic activities per plan and document progress.
• Attend care plan meetings as requested.
• Maintain accurate treatment and billing records.
• Follow state practice acts and organizational code of conduct.
• Maintain active licensure or certification.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Based Onexperience, ranging from $35-40 per hour

COTA- Jobs and Responsibilities:

• Treat patients according to the treatment plan of care developed by and under the supervision of the Licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Communicate with the Occupational Therapist any pertinent information concerning patient progress, concerns, and plans.
• Be proficient in therapeutic needs to treat patients based on their presentation and instructions given by the Occupational Therapist
• Participate in patient Plan of care meetings if asked by the Director of Rehab.
• Record treatment notes, progress notes, provide objective input for discharge summaries and complete daily billing of services per policy and procedure
• Adherence to State Required practice acts, code of conduct, ethics during professional practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Adherence to Company requires policy, procedures and code of conduct
• Active State Licensure or certification needed
