Job summary

Bayview Health Care in Waterford, CT is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a dynamic rehab team. You will assist in data collection and direct treatments under supervision of an Occupational Therapist, contributing to program development and patient care plans.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in OTA, current CT license, and CEU compliance. New graduates are encouraged to apply and may participate in ongoing professional development within Civita Health

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• CEUs per state licensure requirements.
• Current licensure by the applicable state agency.
• Two (2) years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• May perform additional assigned administrative duties as assigned by Rehab Program Manager.
• Under a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Treatment venue includes individual, supervised, and group sessions.
• Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program.
• Consults with and trains patients, residents and caregivers.
• Monitors efficiencies in collaboration with supervisor.
• Documents activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
• Participates in clinical program development and implementation.
• May perform additional duties as requested by supervisor.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.

Education & Experience:
