Job summary

The Broadview Center in Seattle, WA is seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team. You will work alongside physical therapists and speech-language pathologists to provide therapy services to residents, following an established care plan and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include administering treatments, educating patients and families, documenting progress, and supporting the care team to promote recovery and mobility.

Qualifications

  • Active PTA license or eligibility in Washington state.
  • Strong communication and patient-care skills.
  • Ability to document care accurately and timely.

The Broadview Center has an amazing opportunity for a new Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join their In-House Rehab Team in Seattle, WA!

As of December 23, 2024, Foss Home & Village has a new name and is under new ownership. Moving forward, the community will be operated by Hill Valley Healthcare. Foss Home will now be known as “The Broadview Center”

The Broadview Center our state-of-the-art rehabilitation services will help you recover from surgery, injury or illness. Our expertly trained team of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists utilize evidence-based treatment protocols designed to help you return home as soon as possible

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
  • Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
  • Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
  • Monitor patient response to treatment intervention
  • Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
  • Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition.
  • Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results.
  • Developing treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
  • Creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients.
  • Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.
  • Advising patients on exercise techniques.
  • Advising patients and their families about in-home treatment options.
  • Providing educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health.
  • Consulting and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Documenting patient care history.
  • Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures.
