Job description

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

At WelbeHealth, each participant is guided by our Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) — composed of clinical and non-clinical members working cohesively to provide quality, patient-centered care. The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) will be a key member of the IDT, assisting with care planning and providing condition updates to the clinical team.

The COTA, under the supervision of an occupational therapist, is responsible for assisting with tests and delivering restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services to maximize participant independence, safety, and performance of ADLs, both at the center and at home. The COTA will collaborate with the rehabilitation team to implement the established care plan.

Essential Job Duties
  • Administer treatment programs as established by the occupational therapist.
  • Assist in obtaining vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing.
  • Coordinate with the rehabilitation team to implement activities based on individual treatment plans.
  • Manage scheduling of treatments, visits, and billing.
  • Maintain equipment.
  • Document interventions in accordance with care plans, including use of devices, techniques, and activities to promote muscle re-education, perceptual-motor and cognitive functions, balance, endurance, and independence in ADLs.
Job Requirements
  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Degree evaluation for degrees earned outside the US to confirm US equivalency.
  • Valid California Occupational Therapy Assistant License or proof of eligibility.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Minimum of two years' experience working with frail or elderly populations in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge necessary to treat participants with complex needs.

Salary range: $35.87 - $47.36 hourly plus bonus and equity. Actual pay depends on experience and qualifications.
