Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide comprehensive patient care. You will assess patient needs, develop a Plan of Care with goals and interventions, and work with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) credential required.
• Graduated from a vocational school or equivalent program.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic care to patients with injuries or disabilities.
• Develop and implement Plan of Care with goals and interventions.
• Collaborate with treatment team and supervise students when applicable.
• Adhere to licensure requirements and hospital policies.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Responsible for providing care to patients that have impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities, or changes in function and health status resulting from injury, or disease. Through the evaluation process, develops a Plan of Care that identifies patient problems, treatment goals, and interventions. Interacts and collaborates with other professionals in the care of the patient. Adheres to national and state licensure practice standards. Provides care in compliance with Hospital and department Policies and Procedures. Job may include direct supervision of students. Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving Occupational Therapy knowledge and skills.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (COTA) Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
• (OTA) Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Vocational School Graduate
