Job summary

Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing in Latrobe, PA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehab team. We welcome Full Time, Part Time, or PRN candidates dedicated to helping residents improve daily living skills and independence.

The role involves implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with therapists, nurses, and families. PA licensure and an approved COTA program graduate are required; SNF/LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania state license
• Graduate of a COTA approved school for Occupational Therapy
• SNF/LTC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in treatment protocols and delivery for patients in the facility.
• Document progress toward treatment goals and communicate patient status to families.
• Collaborate with therapists and staff to meet rehab goals.
• Maintain administrative duties including billing and records.
• Uphold infection control and safety procedures within the facility.

Immediately seeking a Full Time/Part Time/PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join in-house rehab team at Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing at Latrobe

Job Responsibilities:

• Optimizes physical abilities and skills of patients in facilities by: assisting in protocols of screening
• Implementing treatment for all assigned patients
• Delivering treatment to achieve identified objectives according to the established treatment plan
• Accurately documenting progress toward objectives and communicating patient status and needs to the patient, the patient's family
• Expanding and enhancing clinical expertise, professional and management skills through interaction with managers and other professional staff.
• Maintain administration requirements by: submitting billing, payroll and expense documentation in an accurate and timely manner, assisting in collection of statistics and updating records; informing appropriate staff and managers of patient progress and facility issues; and contributing to facility rehab goals and plans.
• Comply with infection control procedures and environment safety protocol within a facility. Must embrace the team concept and interdisciplinary care

Education and Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania state license
• Graduate of a COTA approved school for Occupational Therapy
• SNF/LTC experience preferred.
