Adept Nursing & Rehab of Gretna is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team in Gretna, NE. You will work under the supervision of an licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents regain independence and improve daily functioning.

The ideal candidate is a licensed COTA with experience in long-term care and strong communication skills, who is compassionate and resident-focused, contributing to a supportive therapy

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited COTA program.
• Current state COTA license.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic activities to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and independence.
• Provide training in activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and bathing.
• Document resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
• Maintain a safe and supportive therapy environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans.
• Educate residents and families on therapy techniques and adaptive equipment.

Position Summary

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
