Job summary

Yellowstone River Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to support the supervising OT in providing resident-focused care in Billings, Montana. You will assist with direct resident care, adhere to documentation standards, and participate in care conferences and training activities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program is required.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state is required.
• CPR certification may be required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per facility and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Assist nursing with training Restorative Aides and staff education.
• Communicate with supervising OT to update physicians and care teams on progress and discharge planning.
• Provide in-services on training programs for staff as needed.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals, home programs, safety, and fall prevention.
