Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Oklahoma City seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our inpatient rehabilitation team on a per diem basis. You will provide patient-focused therapy under OT supervision, monitor progress, document care, and participate in ongoing education to support complex brain, spinal, neurological, and orthopedic cases.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
• Certified BLS or completion within 90 days of employment is required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an OT.
• Monitor patient responses and modify treatment with OT collaboration.
• Complete documentation according to department policies.
• Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.

As a COTA you will be reporting directly to the Occupational Therapist, you will be treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses.

• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions as indicated in collaboration with an OT.
• Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required or as required by state regulations.
