Job summary

OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team in Columbus, OH. This per diem role involves delivering patient-centered therapy under OT supervision and contributing to comprehensive treatment plans.

The successful candidate will hold current state licensure or be eligible to obtain it and complete BLS within the required period. Opportunities for professional growth and ongoing education are available.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligible for state licensure as a COTA.
• BLS certification required or completed within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy regimens under supervision of an OT.
• Monitor patient response and modify treatment accordingly with OT input.
• Complete documentation per department policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental and hospital continuing education seminars.

Responsibilities

As a COTA you will be reporting directly to the Occupational Therapist, you will be treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses.

• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions as indicated in collaboration with an OT.
• Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required or as required by state regulations.
