Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital-Oklahoma City is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a per diem role in Oklahoma City, OK. The position involves implementing therapy plans under supervision and coordinating with a licensed PT to adjust treatments as needed.

The caregiver will support patient education, participate in education of families and staff, and assist with delegation of tasks to allied personnel. Per diem scheduling offers flexibility and potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as PTA or eligibility.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assist with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
• Delegate and direct supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance care.
• Communicate with supervising PT regarding patient needs, reassessment and adjustments to treatment plans.
• Educate patients, families, students, coworkers and self on therapy activities and progress.
• Perform other professional duties related to patient care within the scope of practice.

Pay rate: $40.00 per hour
