Job summary

AristaCare is seeking an Occupational Therapist to plan, organize, develop, and direct therapy services for residents in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

Responsibilities include delivering therapy services, documenting and billing in NetHealth, screening residents, evaluating need for intervention, and developing treatment plans with clear short and long-term goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited programme.
  • Active Occupational Therapy License in New Jersey.
  • Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Occupational Therapist services to residents in accordance with established standards of practice and company procedures.
  • Adhere to company procedures regarding documentation and billing of Occupational Therapist services.
  • Demonstrate sound judgement in evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up of resident therapy programmes.
  • Conduct screening of residents at regular intervals to determine the need for intervention/treatment.
  • Conduct timely screening of residents referred to physical therapy to determine the need for intervention/treatment.
  • Evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
  • Conduct specialised evaluations as indicated.
  • Develop treatment plans by establishing short and long-term goals and methods to achieve identified goals.
  • Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/responsible parties, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems.

Job Purpose:

To assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Occupational Therapist services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by DOR, Administrator, or regional support team to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.

Job Functions:

  • Adhere to Company procedures regarding documentation and billing of Occupational Therapist services.

Education & Requirements:
